Prince Wenceslas François Baudoin Léopold Juraj Marie Marc d'Aviano de Nassau was born 17 October 1999 as the son of Prince Jean of Luxembourg and his first wife, Hélène Suzanna Vestur. After his parents divorce in 2004, his father married Countess Diane de Nassau. He has two older siblings, a brother-in-law, and a younger brother:

He is a grandson of e Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg & Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg.
