Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan was born 28 March 1974 as the daughter of Prince El-Hassan bin Talaal and his wife, Princess Sarvath El Hassan. She is a first cousin of Jordan's present King . She began her education at Amman Baccalaureate School, before moving to England to continue her education at Sherborne School for Girls, Oxford University (where she earned a BA in History) and London School of Economics (earning a LL.M in International Law).
