Royal Profile: Princess Marie-Thérèse of Bourbon-Parma

Princess Marie-Thérèse Cécile Zita Charlotte of Bourbon-Parma was born 28 July 1933 as the third child, and second daughter of Prince Xavier of Bourbon-Parma and Madeleine de Bourbon-Busset {Source}. She had an older sister, an older brother,  two younger sisters and a younger brother and their families{Source}:

She grew up with her siblings in a chateau in Lignières , France. She grew up in France, with a Spanish, French, English, and German linguistic background. Like most women with her aristocratic background, she was well educated, having attended both Oxford and Sorrbonne, studying Philosphy, and Political Science, with a focus on specializing in Islamic nations's legal and political history. After graduation, she spent many years working as a professor of sociology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Princess Marie-Thérèse  of Bourbon-Parma died on 26 March 2020, after complications from COVID-19. She was one of a few known royals to have battled the virus, but the first to die from the virus. Others know to be currently battling the virus include The Prince of Monaco and Archduke Karl von Habsburg.

She never married nor had children. She is survived by her older sister and her family, the family of her older brother, and three younger siblings. One of her paternal first cousins was Queen Ana of Romania, It's likely the funeral will be a private affair.
