Royal Profile: Raphaël Casiraghi Elmaleh

Raphaël Casiraghi Elmaleh was born 17 December 2013 as the illegitimate son of Charlotte Casiraghi and Gad Elmaleh {Source}.

His godparents are his great-aunt and great-uncle, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco{Source}.

Although only a child, he can frequently be seen out and about with his parents. The little family was spotted vacationing together in France and vacationing in the US. He also undertook his first official duty with his mother in November 2016, appearing with the Princely Family of Monaco on the balcony during the National Day celebrations {Photos}. He repeated his role at Monaco's National Day in 2017 {Photos}. In May 2017, he appeared with his great uncle (and godfather), mother, and 1st cousin 1x removed, Louis Ducruet, during the 2017 Grand Prix of Monaco Formula E {Photos}. In 2018 and 2019, he was kept out of the limelinght

Currently, as his parents are not married, he is not included in the line of succession. However, if one day his parents were to marry, he would gain succession rights. His parents broke up in 2015, therefore he will not be eligible for the throne. If his parents had or eventually get married, he would currently be no higher than 6th place. Given that his mother married Dimitri Rassam in 2019 and gave Raphaël a younger brother last fall, it looks unlikely.

Raphaël has two half brothers-an older paternal brother and younger maternal brother, they are:

  1. Noé Elmaleh (born sometime between 1998-2002, from his father's relationship with Anne Brochet)
  2. Balthazar Rassam Casiraghi (2018, from his mother's relationship with Dimitri Rassam)
When his mother married Rassam, he gained a step-sister:

  1. Darya Novoselova Rassam (2011, daughter of Rassam and Masha Novoselova)
