Amedeo received support from the Italian President of Council of Senators of the Kingdom at the time, Aldo Alessando Mol. Vittorio Emanuele and his son applied for judicial intervention to forbid Amedeo of the use of the title The Duke of Savoy, which was a case tat went in their favor-in 2010, the courts ruled that Amedeo and his son, Prince Aimone of Savoy-Aosta, Duke of Apulia must pay damages upward of €50,000 (that's $61192.50 usd ) to their cousins and cease using the Savoy name {Source}.
