On Monday, she and the Prince traveled to visit the Defence Establishment Fairbairn in Canberra, Australia. Day 1 (Oct 18) -Official Arrival & Ceremonial Welcome in Canberra, Australia. View photos at Zimbio . Day 2 (Oct 19) - In the morning, The Queen met with Her Excellency Governor-General Quentin Bryce. And in the afternoon, Her Majesty visited the  Floriade Flower Festival . Belgium: - Crown Prince Philippe & Crown Princess Mathilde's  oldest daughter and future Queen Regent, Princess Elisabeth will celebrate her 10th birthday next week. Crown Prince Sultan al Saud (1928-2011)

Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud was born on January 5, 1928 in Riyadh the son of King Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia and his wife Princess Hessa Al-Sudairi. He, along with his brothers recieved their early education in religion, modern culture, and diplomacy at the royal court. He became Governor of Riyadh in 1947. In 1947, he oversaw ARAMCO's construction of the Kingdom's rail link between Dammam and Riyadh. He became Minister of Agriculture in 1953 and Minister of Communications in 1988. He was appointed as Minister of Defense and Aviation in 1962 by King Faisal. During his time as Minister of Defense and Aviation, he purchased U.S. tanks, fighter planes, missiles and AWACS (airborne warning and control systems). However, Saudi military has had problems assimilating technology within its armed forced because much of the gear is grounded. a large portion of Saudi's $34 billion defense budget is spent on maintaining military equipment from the 1970s.
