P rincess Ashi Sonam Dechan Wangchuck of Bhutan was born 5 August 1981 as the daughter of King Jigme Sngye Wangchuck of Bhutan and Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. She primarily studied in Bhutan before going to Stanford University, where she earned a degree in International Relations before attending Harvard Law School, earning a masters degree in Law.
