Day 1 (March 10) They arrived in the capital of Chile accompanied by their business delegation for an official visit with the intentions of "...strengthening trade relations between Denmark & Chile". The welcoming ceremony consisted of being greeted by the President and First Lady of Poland, an inspection of the Polish Guards. Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands embarked on a three-day state visit to Luxembourg on Tuesday. Day 1 (March 20) Upon her arrival, she was greeted by the Grand Duke & Grand Duchess of Luxembourg in a welcoming ceremony where both countries national anthem's were played. After the welcoming ceremony, the Queen met with local dignataries. Afterward, she, along with the Grand Ducal couple, along with their heir apparent, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, attended a private luncheon in the Grand Ducal Palace. After the luncheon, Queen Beatrix participated in a wreath laying ceremony held at the Monument National de la Solidarité Luxembourgeoise. February 21-22: St. Lucia On their first day on their State Visit to St. Lucia, the Earl and Countess of Wessex attended many events. First, they opened the Diamond Jubilee Le Pavillion Museum at Government House before attending a Reception at Government House.
