Leopold Christian Ingolf Rosanes af Rosenborg was born 15 April 2005 as the second son of Countess Camilla Alexandrine Cristine af Rosenborg and Mikael Rosanes {Source}.He has an older sister, an older brother and a younger brother{Source}:

  • Anastasia Caroline Amalie Rosanes af Rosenborg (1997)
  • Ludwig Christian Mikael Rosanes af Rosenborg (2000)
  • Theodor Christian Emanuel Rosanes af Rosenborg (2008)
He is a first cousin 2x removed of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. However, due to his grandfather not seeking parliamentary approval for his marriage to Leopold's grandmother, young Leopold is not in succession for the Danish throne. Therefore, he performs no public functions on behalf of the monarchy and likely lives a relatively normal life and little is known about him.


However, he has been seen at a few events attended by the Danish Royal Family. In May 2013, he attended his grandfather's funeral {Photos}. He also likely attended his grandmother's funeral in 2014{Source}. It is likely he leads a fairly normal life.
