Royal Profile: Princess Alexia of The Netherlands

Princess Alexia Juliana Marcela Laurentien of The Netherlands was born on 26 June 2005 as the middle child of King Williem-Alexander of The Netherlands and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands. She has two sisters, one older and one younger:

  1. Princess Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria of Oranje (2003) 
  2. Princess Ariane Wilhelmina Máxima Inés of The Netherlands (2007)
 Her baptism took place on 19 November 2005 in Wassenaar. Her godparents were{Source}:

She began school at Bloemcamp School in Wassenaar, The Netherlands in June 2009. Her sisters also attend the school {Source}. In her "kid-time", this young royal likes playing the piano, riding, hockey, tennis and ballet {Source}.

Since her parents took over as King and Queen, she has attended numerous events. In April 2013, she attended her grandmother's abdication ceremony and her parents investiture {Photos}. In July, she attended the family's annual summer photocall {Photos}. In August, she attended her uncle and godfather's funeral services. In October, she attended her father's cousin's wedding {Photos}. In Februray 2014, she was among her family during the annual winter photocall {Photos}. In April, she attended King's Day with her family {Photos}. In 2014, the little Princess was a bridesmaid for her maternal uncle's wedding in Austria with her sisters {Photos}. In 2015, Princess Alexia took part in the family's annual skiing vacation photocall

As a distant relative of King George I of The United Kingdom (she is his 8x great granddaughter), she is distantly in line for the British Throne. She is presently 2nd in line for the Dutch throne after her older sister.
