Prince Carl-Johan Félix Julien Marc d'Aviano de Nassau  was born on 15 August 1992 as the youngest child of Prince Jean of Luxembourg and his then wife, Hélène Suzanna Vestur {Source}. He has an older sister, two older brothers, a brother-in-law, a potential sister-in-law and two nephews {Source}

Due to his parents morganatic marriage and the fact that his father had given up succession rights and succession rights for that of his descendants, he was originally given the title Count de Nassau, but his uncle Grand Duke Henri elevated him and his siblings to HRH Prince/ss de Nassau by royal decree in 2004.

 

He grew up in Paris, and likely leads a normal life.

 

 

His paternal grandparents are Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg & Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg. In 2004, he gained a stepmother, Countess Diane de Nassau.
