In the morning, she paid a visit to the Culture House: The National Center for Cultural Heritage with Iceland's President {Photos}. During the visit, she was presented with the book, Kaupmannahöfn sem Höfuðborg Íslands í 500 ár (Copenhagen: Capital of Iceland in 500 years) and viewed the exhibition, Medieval Manuscripts: Eddas and Sagas.
In the afternoon, the Danish Queen visited the University of Iceland and attended a lecture by a University of Copenhagen professor called Sagaer i Samtiden: Árni Magnússons Storslåede Arv. Afterward, Queen Margarethe II attended the opening of the exhibition "The wallet and Medieval Art" in Gerdarsafn, Kópavogur {Source}. In the evening, Queen Margarethe II attended a gala dinner to celebrate "... the Árni Magnússon's 350-year anniversary..."{Photos}
