Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg was born 11 November 1981, the eldest child of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa{Source}.

Prince Guillaume attended schools in Europe, mostly in Luxembourg, Switzerland, and England {Source}. He attended Lorentzweiler primary school and completed His lower secondary education at Lycée Robert Schuman{Source}. After that, he went to Switzerland, where he attended Collège Beausoleil in the passing his French Baccalaureate in 2001{Source}.
