Royal Profile: Princess Marie-Caroline of Liechtenstein, Countess of Rietberg

Princess Marie Caroline Elisabeth Immaculata of Liechtenstein, Countess of Rietberg was born 17 October 1996 in Grabs, Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, the only daughter of Aios, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein and Sophie, Hereditary Princess of Liechtenstein{Source}. She is a paternal granddaughter of Prince Hans-Adam II and Princess Marie of Liechtenstein{Source}.

She has one older brother and two younger brothers. Her brothers are:

Because Liechtenstein's monarchy operates on agnatic primogeniture succession laws (i.e. inherited by the first-born male of the oldest family line, to the total exclusion of females), Princess Marie Caroline is not in line for the throne after her brothers.

Due to the Liechtenstein Princely Family is fiercely private on the international level, little is known about her or her life today. However, other than the occasional low-key Princely Family appearance such as Liechtenstein's National Day, she seems to live a fairly normal life {Photos, Liechtenstein National Day 2012}

She was likely named:
  1. Marie: For her paternal grandmother, Princess Marie
  2. Caroline: for her paternal great grandmother, Countess Henriette Caroline von Ledebur-Wicheln
  3. Elisabeth: for her greatx2 grandmother, Archduchess Elisabeth Amalie of Austria or for her maternal aunt and godmother, Duchess Elisabeth in Bravia
  4. Immaculata : Latin for The Immaculate Conception.
She attended Malvern College in England {Source}.
