Daniel St. George Chatto was born 22 April 1957 as Daniel Chatto St. George Sproule { Source }. He is the son of the late actor Thomas Chatto Sproule and the theatrical agent Ros Chatto { Source }.  He has one brother, James { Source }  In 1987, using Deed poll, Chatto legally changed his name from Daniel Chatto St. George Sproule to Daniel St. George Chatto.  At the same time, his mother, also using Deed Poll, abandoned her surname Sproule in favor of Chatto.{ Source }.
