He was the paternal grandson of The Duchess of Alba, and his father is the current titleholder of The Dukedom of Alba. Fernando is the heir apparent to the title.

He was educated in Spain. He studied at The College for International Studies {Source}. During his time there, he met the woman who would become his wife, Sofia Palazuelo Barroso {Source}. He and Palazuelo Barroso were married on 8 October 2018{Source}. Most recently. The Duke and Duchess of Huéscar welcomed their first child, a daughter named Rosario, who by Spanish law with noble titles, is her father's heir to the Dukedom of Alba.
