Prince Albert of Monaco visits Kazakhstan & Turkey

Kazakhstan

November 2 (Day 1)

Upon his arrival, the Sovereign attended a working meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Prince Albert inaugurated the Epoch of Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco Exhibition in the presence of the Mayor of Astana, and organizer of the exhibition, and was accompanied by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On this day, a memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the Republic of Kazakhstan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Principality of Monaco's Chamber of Economic Development.


November 3 (Day 2)

Prince Albert spoke about renewable engery during a visit to the Nazerbayev University School of Science and Technology prior to touring two sports venues: the Alau Ice Palace and the Sary-Arka cycling track. Before departing, the Sovereign attended the inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of the Principality of Monaco with several Kazakhstan authorities.

Turkey

November 6 (Day 1)
Upon his arrival, he placed a wreath at the tomb of the late Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, where he participated in a moment of silence, and signed the Aniktabir Special Registry. Afterward, he visited the Atatürk and War of Independence Museum.

After the visit to the Tomb and museum, the prince attended a welcoming ceremony and meeting with the President of Turkey{Photo}.

For lunch, he participated in a working luncheon with the Turkish Prime Minister{Photo}. After lunch he paid a visit to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations.

In the afternoon, Prince Albert attended a meeting with the President of Turkey, the Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, and other local dignitaries. Afterward, he meet with Turkey's president, where they discussed numerous issues.

November 7 (Day 2)

Prince Albert participated in a meeting with members of the Chambers of Economic Development and representatives from his delegation.

After, he attended a luncheon meeting where he gave a speech that stressed the importance of  "... economic and commercial relations..." between Monaco and Turkey. After lunch, the Prince paid a visit to Boğaziçi University, where he again spoke, this time on the environment, before attending a reception organized by the Prince Albert II Foundation.
