Royal Profile:Doña Victoria Federica de Marichalar y Borbón

Doña Victoria Federica de Marichalar y Borbón was born on 9 September, the only daughter of Infanta Elena of Spain and her then husband Don Jaime de Marichalar{Source}. She has one older brother, Don Felipe de Marichalar y Borbón. She is the grandchild of Queen Sofia of Spain and King Juan Carlos of Spain{Source}. Her godparents were her uncle, Felipe, Prince of Asturias and her aunt, Ana de Marichalar y Sáenz de Tejada.

As a member of the Spanish royal family, she takes part in a range of public activities. She made her first Holy Communion at the Dominicos Church, Alcobendas, Spain in 2009{Source}. In August 2011, she appeared with other members of the royal family on the yacht "Somni" during the 30th Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre Sailing Cup in Palma de Mallorca{Photos}. She took part in World Youth Day celebrations at the Zarzuela Palace in August 2011 with Pope Benedict XVI in attendance{Photos}. In August 2012, she appeared with her mother and brother at the Paralympics in London, where they attended a Reception at London’s Spanish Embassy for the Spanish delagation of Paralympic athletes, cheered on the Spainsh swimmers that were participating in the paralympics and visited the athletes's village. She is presently 6th in line for the throne after her uncle, two cousins, mother and brother.

She attends Colegio San Patricio, which is just outside of Madrid.She should be about to enter her second year of the second cycle at Colegio San Patricio.

She is related to nearly every royal family in Europe. Her greatx4 grandmother was Queen Victoria-her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria Eugenia, was Queen Victoria's granddaughter via her youngest child, Princess Beatrice of the United Kingdom. This would make her distantly related to Queen Elizabeth II, and if she were not catholic, she would be distantly in line for the throne of the United Kingdom.

She was named after her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria Eugenia of Spain and her great-grandmother, Queen Frederika of Greece; and Todos los Santos (English: All Saints) as it is customary among the Bourbons.Since birth she carries the style "Her Excellency". All the children of Infanta Cristina and Infanta Elena have the HE Don/Doña style, as befits the children of an Infanta of Spain. Although they don't have a title, all grandchildren of King Juan Carlos are members of the Spanish Royal House{Source}.
