Royal Profile:Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand
Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand was born 4 July 1957, as the youngest daughter of King Bhumibol Aduladej & Queen Sirikit of Thailand.
She studied chemistry at Kasetsart University, earning a 1st Class Honours bachelor's degree in 1979. She also earned a doctoral degree in Science from Mahiold University in 1985. Since earning her degree, she has served as President of the Chulbhorn Research Institute, been awarded the UNESCO Einstein Medal {Source}, and was the first Aisan to be invited to join the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK as an Honorary Fellow in 1986 {Source}
In 1982, she married a Royal Thai Air Fource Air Vice Marshal, Virayudh Tishyasarian. Traditionally, she would've lost her Royal Status upon her marriage due to marrying a man of lesser position, but she was granted special permissions by her father to keep her rank as Princess. Together, they have two daughters:
