Royal Profile: Prince Dasho Ugyn Jugme Wangchuck of Bhutan

Prince Dasho Ugyn Jugme Wangchuck of Bhutan was born on 11 November 1994 as the only  son and youngest child of Jigme Singye Wangchuck and his second wife, Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Pem {Source}. He has two older sisters and a host of half-siblings, as well as several siblings-in-law, and a nephew {Source}:

Like his elder siblings, he began his education in Bhutan before going off on a worldly education. He attended the Early Learning Centre in Bhutan until 2008, before going to Le Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland, where he graduated in 2012. 


Prince Ugyen Jigme Wangchuck has participated in a large amount of official royal matters including foreign affairs meetings. He also holds several honors in Bhutan, including:
  • Commemorative Silver Jubilee Medal of King Jigme Singye (June 1999, age 4)
