Countess Diane de Nassau was born 13 July 1962 as Diane Marie Amélie Hermenegilde de Guerre and the daughter of Claude-Gaston de Guerre and his second wife, Countess Eugenia Maria Wolff Metternich zur Gracht{Source}. She has two siblings {Source}:

Not much is known about her upbringing or prior background before joining the Luxembourger royal family. She married in a civil ceremony to Prince Jean of Luxembourg on 18 March 2009 in The Netherlands {Source}. While they have no children together, he has four children from a previous relationship:
