Princess Aimée of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven was born 18 October 1977 as the daughter of Hans Söhngen and Eleonoor Stammeijer {Source}. She has two siblings {Source}:

She grew up in The Netherlands. She attended Willem de Zwijger College {Source}. She then attended University of Leiden.
On 20 October 2005, she married Prince Floris van Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven{Source}. Together, they have three children:
- Magali Margriet Eleonoor van Vollenhoven (2007)
- Eliane Sophia Caroline van Vollenhoven (2009)
- Willem Jan Johannes Pieter Floris van Vollenhoven (2013)
On her marriage Aimée acquired the title of Her Highness, Princess of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven as a result of her husband's status as a Prince of Orange-Nassau. Since Floris did not seek parliamentary approval for his marriage, owing to the remote chance of his succession to the throne, he lost his place in line to the Dutch throne when he married Aimée. However, he and his family still participate in family events such as the investiture of his cousin and weddings.
Since 2010, Princess Aimée working for the ANWB (marketing and sales) at its headquarters in The Hague{Source}. Before that, she worked in a bank and Pon Holdings BV on the marketing and communication department{Source}.
She shares a birthday with Andrea Knecht de Massy and Mike Tindall.
