Francesco Carlo Albert Casiraghi-Borromeo was born 21 May 2018 as the younger of two sons of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo-Casiraghi {Source}. Francesco has one older brother {Source}:

He is a second male-line grandchild of Princess Caroline of Hanover (Sacha, India and Maximilian ARE NOT Caroline's grandchildren). He joined cousin Raphael, and  his brother and later on in 2018 by another cousin, Balthazar Rassam-Casiraghi.


He was named:

  • Francesco: a nod to the founder of the House of Grimaldi, Francesco Grimaldi
  • Carlo: His maternal grandfather
  • Albert: His paternal uncle
