Princess Irene of Greece & Denmark was born 11 May 1942 as the second daughter and youngest child of King Paul of Greece & Queen Frederika of Greece {Source}. She has two older siblings, two siblings-in-law, and nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews {Source}:
From an early age, she began taking piano lessons, where she was educated by Gina Bachauer. She was a bridesmaid to her eldest sister. She dated Prince Michel dOrléans, comte d'Évreux before his marriage to Béatrice Pasquier de Franclieu {Source}.
Upon her brother's dethronement, she moved to India with her mother. When her mother died in Februrary 1981, she moved to Spain in an apartment at La Zarzuela Palace to be near her elder sister. She is close with both of her siblings.
In 1986, she founded the organization, Mundo en Armonía, which aims to contribute to the creation of a World in Harmony.
On 23 April 2008, she was named a godmother to Simeon Hassan Muñoz, who is the son of Princess Kalina of Bulgaria and Antonio José "Kitín" Muñoz Valcárcel.
