His Majesty also explained he wants to freeze the €10.8 million he gets from the state and use an automatic 2012 salary inflation adjustment of some 3 percent — about €350,000 — for his royal properties {Source}.

-Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa & Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume held a New Year audience at the Grand Ducal Palace on Thursday, where they received Luxembourg's Prime Minister, members of the Luxembourg government, and various representatives from European institutions.

-Prince Albert met with the representatives from Monaco for the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics on Monday {Story & Photos}. On Thursday, it was annonced that the Prince is the new patron of the World Olympians Association (WOA), replacing former IOC President  Juan Samaranch (1920-2010) {Source}On Friday, the Prince was in Innsbruck, Austria to attend the opening ceremony of the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games. Also on Friday, the Prince attended the inauguration ceremony of the 75th Congress of the International Sports Press Association held at the Innsbruck Conference Center where he received an award for his outstanding dedication and commitment to sports. -Andrea Albert Pierre Casiraghi was spotted out and about with his dog in Paris on Wednesday {Photos}.

-Charlotte Marie Pomeline Casiraghi competed at the 2012 Basel competition {Photos}. In her first competition on Thursday, she came in 22nd/54 and 43/44 riders on her second competition. On Friday, she came in last out of 55 riders in her first competition and 11/47 in her second competition. On Saturday, she came in 16/39 {Source}.

-King Juan Carlos received new Spanish ambassadors to Tunisia, Sweden, Pakistan & Ecuador at the Royal Palace on Tuesday {Photos}.

-Prince Felipe of Asturias was in Nicaragua to attend the inauguration of second-term President Ortega {Photos} on Friday. On Thursday, the Future King of Spain visited Honduras as part of his official tour of Central America where he attended the presentation of the Foundation Miguel de Cervantes Virtual Library held at the Cultural Center of Spain in Tegucigalpa, a private meeting with the speaker of the Honduran Parliament and  met with other members of government at the National Congress building in Tegucigalpa {Source}.

-Iñaki Urdangarín y Liebaert, Duke of Palma de Mallorca celebrated his 44th birthday on Sunday.

Sweden


-Prince Daniel visited Sandvik Group, a high-technology and engineering cooperation on Monday. During his visit, he was greeted by Olof Faxander, CEO of Sandvik, as well as other employees, attended a brief presentation, and was given a guided tour of the facility {Photos}

The Netherlands


-Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje & Princess Maxima continued their two-day state visit to the United Arab Emirates on Monday. During their visit, the Royal trio visited Masdar City a “…multifaceted renewable energy company…”in Abu Dhabi. The purpose of their visit was to attend an economic roundtable meeting to discuss “…possible strategic co-operations in a bid to promote and facilitate mutually beneficial economic relationships…” between the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates. They also met with the Emirati royals and took a tour of Dubai's harbor {Video} {Video} {Photos} {Photos}. On Thursday, they continued their visit to Oman, where they visited the port of Sohar where they were greeted by Shaikh Saad bin Mohammed a Saadi, Commerce and Industry Minister and Chairman of Sohar Industrial Port Company. Later that day, the trio toured the Sohar Industrial Project Company and attended an evening concert {Video} {Photos}
