World Travelers: The Prince Charles of Wales & Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall visit the USA, March 2015

Day 1 (March 17)

The Prince Charles of Wales & Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall began trip with a day in Washington DC and were wisked away to the British Embassy from Andrews Air Force Base {Photos}.


Day 2 (March 18)

 The future British monarch marked the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta during a visit to the National Archives where he will view the "Charters of Freedom" and the 1297 version of the Magna Carta {Photos}. He was joined by his wife for a visit to the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial {Photos}. They met with members of the Shakespeare Theatre Company {Photos} and toured George Washington's Mt. Vernon estate {Photos}. In the evening, they attended a private reception at the home of long-time friends Robert & Barbie Albritton{Photos}


Day 3 (March 19)

The royal pair continued their adventures in Washington, DC today. First on the adgenda was a visit with hte United States President and Vice President (and a bunch of journalists! ha!). They also paid visits to  the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington DC and President Lincoln’s Cottage {Source}.

Day 4 (March 20)

The royal couple boarded their plane for the flight to Louisville, KY. Upon arrival, they visited the Kentucky Centre for African American Heritage {Source}. Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall visited an organization called Neighbourhood House, where she  saw the work of the Four Seasons Programme, providing support for seniors in the community, the Youth Learning Labs and the Child Development Centre {Source}.
