Royal Profile: Princess Marie of Liechtenstein

Princess Marie of Liechtenstein was born Countess Marie Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau on 14 April 1940, the daughter of Count Ferdinand Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau and Countess Henriette Caroline of Ledebur-Wichlen {Source}.

During WWII, her family fled to Germany, where she began attending Wald Cloister School {Source}. In 1957, she began traveling throughout Europe to perfect her knowledge of languages {Source}. First, she went to England to perfect her English, and then it was off to Paris to perfect her French {Source}. After a few years, she moved back to Germany, where she worked as a commercial artist for a printer until she became engaged to Prince Hans-Adam II in 1965 {Source}.

She married Prince Hans-Adam II on 30 July 1967, and they have 4 children, three daughter-in-laws, a son-in-law, and several grandchildren, who are {Source}:

Upon her marriage, she gain the title Her Serene Highness The Hereditary Princess of Liechtenstein, a title which she kept until 1989 {Source}. Since 1989, she has been known as Her Serene Highness The Princess of Liechtenstein {Source}.
