Don Juan Filiberto Nicolás Gómez-Acebo y de Borbón was born 6 December 1969, the second child and elder son of Infanta Pilar of Spain and Don Luis Gómez-Acebo y Duque de Estrada, ?th Viscount de la Torre {Source}. In April 2013, his American girlfriend gave birth to their first child, Nicolás, in the United States {Source}{Source}. He and his girlfriend were later married in a ceremony at the Spanish Embassy in Miami {Source}.

Little is known about Juan and his life as he is not considered a member of the Spanish Royal Family, in spite of being a nephew of King Juan Carlos and first cousin of King Felipe VI.
