Royal Profile: Louis Alphonse of Bourbon, Duke of Anjou

Louis Alphonse of Bourbon, Duke of Anjou was born 25 April 1974 as the son of  the second son of Alfonso de Borbón, Duke of Anjou and Cádiz and Doña María del Carmen Martínez-Bordiú y Franco{Source}. He has one older brother {Source}:
  1. Don Francisco de Asís Alfonso Jaime Cristóbal Víctor José Gonzalo Cecilio de Borbón y Martínez-Bordiú, Duc de Bourbon (1972-1984, car accident)
He also has several step siblings and a half sister from his mother's subsequent marriages:
  1. Mathilda  Rossi (1971-1984, boating accident, stepsister from his mother's marriage to Jean-Marie Rossi, twin of below) 
  2. Marella Rossi (1971, stepsister from his mother's marriage to Jean-Marie Rossi)
  3. Frederick Rossi (stepbrother from his mother's marriage to Jean-Marie, younger brother of Mathilda and Marella)
  4. María Cynthia Francisca Matilda Rossi (half sister, 1985, from his mother's marriage to Rossi)

He attended the Lycėe Français de Madrid, obtaining his COU in June 1992 {Source} He studied economics. He worked several years for BNP Paribas, a French bank in Madrid. Although he regularly visited France, where his mother lived for several years, he continued to live in Spain.

He became engaged to Maria Margarita Vargas Santaella in November 2003. They were married in November 2004{Source}. Together, they have three children:

  2. Prince Louis de Bourbon, Duke of Burgundy  (2010)
  3. Prince Alfonso de Bourbon, Duke of Berry (2010)
