Royal Profile: Isabel Inês de Herédia, Duchess of Braganza

Isabel Inês de Herédia, Duchess of Braganza was born 22 November 1966 as the daughter of D. Jorge de Heredia and Dª Raquel Leonor Pinheiro Curvelo {Source}.

She spent her childhood years residing between Portugal and Angola{Source}. In 1976, her family moved to Brazil{Source}.


She spent her early educational years at the Colégio das Doroteias {Source}. After her family's 1976 move to Brazil, she began studying at S.Paulo, no Colégio de S. Luís, da Companhia de Jesus, graduating in 1988{Source}. From there, she attended the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, where she studied Business Administration, graduating in 1990 {Source}. After graduation, she returned to Portugal to work for the BMF Society of Asset Management, SA{Source}. She remained with this company until 1995 {Source}.



On May 13, 1995, she married Duarte, Duke of Braganza{Source}. Together, they have three children{Source}:
