He is the grandchild of Princess Margriet of The Netherlands and Pieter van Vollenhoven {Source}. Due to Dutch law, he is currently not in succession after the abdication of his great-aunt, Princess Beatrix in 2013. It is likely he will lead a fairly normal lifestyle.
