Royal Profile: Don Miguel Urdangarín y de Bórbon

Don Miguel de Todos los Santos Urdangarín y de Bórbon was born 30 April 2002 as the third son of Infanta Cristina of Spain and Iñaki Urdangarín {Source}. He has two older brothers and a younger sister {Source}:
  1. Don Juan (1999)
  2. Don Pablo (2000)

In June 2002, he was baptized with the following as his godparents:

  1. King Felipe VI of Spain (maternal uncle)
  2. Lucía Urdangarín (paternal aunt)

He has had a global life-residing mostly in Spain, but spending time in the US, before moving to Switzerland. He and his family resided in Washington, DC from 2009-2012, while his father worked for Telefónica. In August 2013 the family, without his father, moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where his mother had taken a job with the Caixa Foundation{Source}. In early April 2013, his father was offered a new position in Qatar, it was unclear whether or not Infanta Christina and her children would join him there at the end of this school year, which in the end, they did not join him in Qatar, but moved to Switzerland instead {Source}.

Due to his parents' global lifestyle, he has also had a worldly education. He began his education at the Carls Riba Preschool before the family's move to the US in 2009. Upon the family's return to Spain in 2011, he began to attend The French School of Spain, which both of his brothers attended. It is unclear where he attends school now.

He is currently 9th in the Spanish line of succession, after four cousins, an aunt, his mother and two older brothers. He does not perform regular duties. With the loss of his parent's title The Duke and Duchess of Palma de Mallorca last summer, it is unclear whether or not he is still entitled to the style Don as a courtesy title of a Spanish Infanta.
