After his family settled in the United Kingdom in 1974, he was educated at home for six years, until 1980{Source}. In 1980, he began attending the Hellenic College of London, a school opened by his parents for London-based students of Greek origin{Source}. He would later become a governer of the school, alongside his parents. In 1988, he began attending Brown University, where he studied International Relations {Source}. In his sophomore year at Brown, he took time off to join the British Army on a Short Service Limited Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant of the Royal Scots Dragon Guards {Source}.


When he graduated in 1993, Prince Nikolaos moved to New York City to produce televsion for Fox{Source}. He returned to London in 1995, working for foreign exchanged options department of NatWest Markets{Source}. From 1997-2003, he worked for his father's Family office{Source}. Now the younger son of the deposed monarch of Greece does consulting for various business ventures{Source}.

Prince Nikolaos is an avid photographer{Source}. In 2015, some of his work was exhibited at Christie's in London{Source}. In March 2016, some of his photographs were featured in The New York Times "Art For Tomrrow" in Doha, Qatar{Source}.


Prince Nikolaos takes part in many charties and civic activities. He is on the board of the Knightsbridge Schools Interantional{Source}. Prince Nikolaos is an active memeber of Symplefsi {Source}.


He married Venezuelan born Tatiana Blatnik in 2010{Source}. They later moved to Athens, Greece, where they currently reside{Source}. They have no children.
