Bhutan Royals visit India


Day 1 (January 23)

The King & Queen of Bhutan arrived in India. Upon their departure from Bhutan, they were sent off by government officials and Princes and Princesses of Bhutan, the King's brothers and sisters {Photo}.

Upon arrival at the Indra Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, they were received by the Minister of State for External Affairs {Photos}.

Day 2 (Jan 24)

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck & Queen Jetsun visited a Gandhi memorial {Photos}, a meeting & reception with the President and Primeminster

Day 3 (Jan 25)

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck began his day with an inspection of the Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan {Photos}. His day continued when he was joined by his wife for a meeting and reception with the President and Prime Minister of India {Photos}. Later on, they met with PA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi {Photos} and attended a banquet hosted by India's president {Photos}


Day 4 (Jan 26)

The King & Queen attended the  64th Republic Day celebrations in India. These celebrations included a parade and reception for dignitaries {Photos}. The King also met with the Vice President of India  and a few other dignitaries {Photos}

Day 5 (January 27)

No idea

Day 6 (January 28)

The King met with the Indian Chief of Army Staff, General Bikram Singh and the Indian National Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi {Photos} {Source}.

Day 7 (January 29)

The Bhutanse Royals boarded their flight to return home to Bhutan {Source}
