Day 1 (Sept 18)
Sophie, The Countess of Wessex met with schoolchildren during a welcome at the ITC Sonar Kolkata Hotel. During her welcoming ceremony, she planted a tree to commemorate her visit {Photos}

Sophie, The Countess of Wessex visited a converted DC-10 Aircraft that Orbis uses as a flying opthalmic hospital and training facility on day 2 of her visit to India with the Charity ORBIS at Kolkata airport {Source}. The Countess of Wessex also attended a reception for the Charity ORBIS at Kolkata airport at the ITC Kolkata Hotel {Photos}
Day 3 (Sept 20)
The Countess of Wessex tried her hand at cataract surgery on the EYES1 simulator on the UK ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital and met with staff and patients at the UK ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital {Photos}. The Countess of Wessex attended a reception for ORBIS volunteers at the ITC Sonar Hotel{Photos}
Day 4 (September 21)
The Countess of Wessex attended the closing ceremony of the ORBIS Opthalmic Conference {Photos}. Prior to the closing ceremony, the Queen's daughter-in-law participated in a traditional Indian ceremony {Photos}
Qatar
Day 1 (September 22)
After arriving in Qatar and getting settled in, The Countess of Wessex paid a visit to the Islamic Museum of Arts {Photos} and held an audience with Prime Minister of Qatar{Photos}. In the evening, the Queen's daughter-in-law attended a gala dinner{Photos}.
Day 2 (September 23)
The Countess of Wessex attended a reception for ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital before giving a guided tour of the facility {Photos}. She also met with Qatar's Assistant Minister of International Cooperation {Photos}
Day 3 (September 24)
The Countess of Wessex began her day with a visit to the Qatar Science and Technology Park {Photos}
