Royal Profile: Princess Annette of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven

Princess Annette of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven was born 18 April 1972 as the daughter of Ulrich Sekrève and his wife Jolanda de Haan{Source}.

She was educated in The Netherlands. She obtained her vwo diploma in 1991 {Source}. She studied from 1991-1996 at Groningen University, where she obtained a MSc degree in psychology {Source}. It was at university that she met her future husband, Prince Bernhard {Source}.

The couple announced their engagement on 11 March 2000. They married on 6/8 July 2000 {Source}. Together, they have three children {Source}:



She and her family reside in Amsterdam and lead low profile lives, with attendance only at major royal family events including King's Day.Since 2002, Princess Annette worked as a counsellor at the AGO Foundation from 2002-2011 {Source}. She is a member of the Committee of Recommendation of the Foundation Art as Well / A lot of the Foundation Art and the 'Experience' {Source}. Princess Annette is also a member of the Advisory Board of Papageno Foundation {Source}.
