Royal Profile: Princess Eléonore of Belgium

Princess Eléonore Fabiola Victoira Anne Marie of Belgium was born 16 April 2008 as the second daughter and youngest child of King Philippe & Queen Mathilde {Source}. She has an older sister, and two older brothers:
  • Princess Élisabeth Thérèse Marie Hélène of Belgium, The Duchess of Brabant (2001)
  • Prince Gabriel Baudouin Charles Marie of Belgium (2003)
  • Prince Emmanuel Léopold Guillaume François Marieof Belgium (2005)

Princess Eléonore attends a Dutch-language primary school in Brussels, but French and English are also part of her education{Source}.

She lives with her parents, and older siblings at Royal Palace of Laeken {Source}. When she isn't in school, she likes to play the violin, read, draw, ride her bicycle, swim and ski{Source}.

At her birth, Princess Eléonore was 5th in succession after her father and older siblings . Upon her father's 2013 succession, she is currently 4th in succession after her sister and two brothers.

She was baptized at almost two months old, with the following as her godparents{Source}:

  • Crown Princess Victoria (family friend)
  • Princess Claire of Belgium (paternal aunt)
  • Count Sébastien von Westphalen zu Fürstenberg 
Like her siblings, she has been doing royal duties from an early age. When she was just a baby, she took part in the family's annual summer photocall {Photos}. In 2009, she was back for the family's summer photocall {Photos}. In 2010, at the age of three, her royal duties repretoire began to pick up-she joined her family at the 34th Floralies of Ghent official launch {Photos}, and visited the children's farm Pierlapont {Photos}. In 2011, along with her older siblings, she took part in the wedding of her maternal aunt, Countess Hélène d'Udekem d'Acoz and Nicolas Janssen {Photos}, took part in the family's annual photo session {Photos}, and began her education {Photos}. In 2012, she joined in on her family's annual skiing trip and photo call {Photos}, joined the family's official photocall in the summer {Photos} and attended to another year of her education {Photos}. In 2013, she participated in the National Day celebrations and the enthronement of her father (and abdication of her grandfather) {Photos}, went on the family's annual holiday photocall {Photos} and began school again {Photos}. In 2014, she took part in the family's skiing holiday {Photos}, attended the 35th edition of the Brussels' 20km run {Photos}, attended the first communion of her cousins Prince Nicolas and Prince Aymeric {Photos}, attended the wedding of her eldest cousin Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este {Photos}, visited Sealife {Photos}, attended National Day Celebrations {Photos}, attended Car Free Day {Photos}, began school again {Photos}, attended the funerla of her great aunt, Queen Fabiola {Photos} and attended a Christmas Concert {Photos}. In 2015, she attended the family's photocall at animal park Pairi Daiza {Photos}, and Belgian National Day {Photos}. In 2016, she was \spotted at a photocall for the family's skiing trip {Photos}.
