Royal Profile: Prince Christian of Denmark, Count of Monpezat

Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John of Denmark, Count of Monpezat was born on 15 October 2005 at Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen University Hospital) as the first child and eldest son of Crown Prince Fredrik & Crown Princess Mary {Source}. He is the grandson of Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik, Prince Consort of Denmark. He has three younger siblings{Source}:

On 27 March 2007 Prince Christian started nursery school at Queen Louise's Children's House{Source}. Shortly prior to the birth of his youngest siblings, he began attending Garrison Parish Ward Kindergarten{Source}. Since August 2011, he began his formal schooling at Trane Overgaard School{Source}. He may not be a Danish king yet, but he's already made Danish Royal history by being the 1st Danish heir apparent to attend nursery school AND the first Danish Royal to attend a state school.

Although his mother claims that he does not know that he one day will be the Danish King, he has performed several royal duties. In 2008, he participated in his first official royal duty when he attended the opening of the new elephant house at the Copenhagen Zoo with his grandfather{Video}. In June 2010, he was a page boy at the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria{Photos}. On 11 January 2012, he, along his grandmother, revealed a painting of his father, grandmother and himself{Photos}.
