Royal Profile: Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand

Princess Sirivannavari Naruatana of Thailand was born as Mom Chao Busyanambejra Mahidol but later changed to Mom Chao Chakkrityapha Mahidolupon order of Queen Sirikit on 8 January 1987 as the youngest child of Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun and his former wife, Sujarinee Vivacharawongse{Source}

Her parents seperated and later divorced in 1996. She initally moved to England with her mother and brothers, but was later brought back to Thailand to live with her father. In 205, by royal command, her grandfather granted her the title and style HRH Princess of Thailand.


After the separation of her parents, she moved to United Kingdom with her mother and brothers. However, she later was taken by her father from England and brought back to Thailand.[citation needed]

She was elevated to Princess status by royal command of her grandfather, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, on 15 June 2005.

She is active in sports and the arts. She represented Thailand in the 23rd South East Asian Games in Badmiton in 2005, winning gold {Source}. In 2016, the Thailand Masters badminton tournament was renamed The Princes Sirvannavari Thailand Masters. She is also a fashion designer. She was invited by Pierre Balmain to present her fashion line as part of the Balmain collection in Paris in 2007 {Source}. In 2008, she presented her own fashion line in Paris.

In 2008, she was among the Forbes 20 Hottest Young Royals  list, which included the sons of The Prince of Wales, two of the granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II, three of Princess Grace of Monaco's eldest grandchildren,  the son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Moktoum, the heir to the Swedish throne and her two younger siblings, among others {Source}.

She shares a birthday with the youngest children of the Crown Princely couple of Denmark
