Royal Profile: Christine Knecht de Massy
Christine Knecht de Massy was born 12 June 2000 in Monaco, the eldest of four daughters of Donatella Knecht de Massy and Sébastien Knecht de Massy{Source}. She is the paternal granddaughter of Christine-Alix de Massy and paternal great granddaughter of Princess Antoinette of Monaco, Barone de Massy{Source}. She has three younger sisters{Source}:
Because her father, she and her sisters *technically* lost their place in succession with the death of Prince Rainier in 2005, she and her family are known to keep out of the main limelight. Other than the occasional all family appearance or out and about with Princess Alexandra, she's kept away from the media's glare.
Prior to the family moving to South Africa sometime in late 2012, she attended the private catholic school, L'Institut François d’Assise Nicolas Barré, along with her younger sisters and second cousins once removed Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Camille Gottlieb. Along with Princess Alexandra, she was active in keeping a progressive program to promote maths and science in the school and community. As of 2015-2016, she attended boarding school in England, where she should've graduated last year.
It is presumed that she is named for her paternal grandmother, who died of leukemia before she was born.
Other than her school activities and a few rare occasional appearances alongside Princess Alexandra at events, she is primarily kept from the limelight. She speaks French, and English fluently, and having an Italian mother, I imagine she speaks at least some Italian. Like most teenagers, she is active on social media, especially Instagram and Facebook (DO NOT ask for her links...the answer is already no.).
