In early 1958, Margaretha met the pianist Robin Douglas-Home when she was in England. They started a romance and it was very close that they got engaged. But the press became too big for the princess and it all ended{Source}. In 1963, the princess met another Englishman, the ten-year-old businessman John Ambler. They engaged in February 1964 and Margaretha became the third in the Sisters Scare to do this{Source}. On June 30th, the couple married in the Church of Gerdløse on Öland. Compared to the sisters who married in Stockholm, this wedding was not particularly impressive{Source}. Princess Margaretha moved with John Ambler to London, but despite this she had a good relationship with her mother; Princess Sibylla{Source}. After the wedding, the newly married princess was titled as "Princess Margaretha Mrs. Ambler"{Source}. Princess Margaretha and her husband John Ambler separated in 1996 but never divorced{Source}. On May 31, 2008, she became widow when John died, 83 years old{Source}. The princess lives today in Oxfordshire, not far from London{Source}. During their visit, the three Scandinavian princesses toured Disneyland, Hollywood and visited Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles where they met Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, and Elvis Presley{Source}.
