His Imperial & Royal Highness Archduke Imre Emanuel Simeon Jean Carl Marcus d'Aviano of Austria was born 8 December 1985, in Geneva, Switzerland. 

He  is the eldest son of Archduke Carl Christian of Austria and Princess Marie-Astrid of Luxembourg. He has one older sister, two younger brothers and a younger sister.

He married Miss Kathleen Elizabeth Walker in Washington, DC on 8 September 2012.At his wedding, his groomsmen party consisted of: Archduke Christoph of Austria (his brother), Archduke Alexander of Austria (his brother), Prince Felix of Luxembourg (his cousin), Guillaume Heck (his friend), Louis-Victor Douville de Franssu (his friend),Count Rodolphe of Limburg-Stirum (his brother-in-law), Archduke Michael of Austria (his uncle), and Archduke Franz Ludwig of Austria (his uncle).

He studied at both  the College of Europe and   the University of St. Gallen.

He is presently a pretender for the Austrian throne.
