Royal Profile: HH Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway
Prince Sverre Magnus was born on 3 December 2005, the second child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. He has two older siblings, a half-brother named Marius, and a full sister, Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
His godparents were his grandmother, The Queen of Norway, Princess Máxima of the Netherlands, Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, Princess Rosario of Bulgaria, Mr Espen Høiby, Mr Bjørn Stensland and Ms Marianne Gjellestad.
In the fall of 2007, the then 2 year old Prince began attending kindergarten in Asker. In August 2011, he began attending Jansløkka elementary school.
As a member of the Norwegian Crown Princely Family, Prince Sverre Magnus (or Magnus as his family calls him) has appeared at numerous royal events. He first attended Norway's National Day in 2009, where the entire family appeared in tradition costume. Also in 2009 he attended the Norwegian Football Cup Final. In 2010, he attended the The World Cup Nordic And Ski Jumping, National Day and Pinchcliffe Grand Prix. In 2011, he attended National Day and the The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. So far, in 2012, he's attended the Opening of Global Shapers Oslo, National Day, celebrations marking his grandparent's 75th birthdays and various London 2012 Olympics events.
