Princess Beatrice Elizabeth Mary of York was born 8 August 1988 the elder of the two daughters of the Duke and Duchess of York {Source}. She has one sister, Princess Eugenie{Source}.

In April 2010, she became the first member of the Royal Family to complete the London Marathon, running with friends to raise money as part of ‘Team Caterpillar’, which supported a number of charities{Source}.

She attended a variety of schools throughout the United Kingdom. From 2007-2008, she took a gap year where she partied in Thailand with a group of friends {Source}, visited with her mother and boyfriend in the United States (where they were both residing at the time) {Source}, worked as a personal shopper in Selfridges, and visited Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland {Source}
