Dr. Claire Alexandra Windsor, The Countess of Ulster was born 29 December 1977 as the elder child of Robert Booth and Barbra Booth{Source}. She has a sister, Joanne, who is two years younger {Source}.
She attended King's College, London, receiving a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2001. In 2007, she received a further degree of Masters of Science from University College, London. Lady Ulster qualified as a pediatric specialist registrar, after which she became a Consultant Pediatrician with the General Medical Council{Source}. On 1 September 2012, she was appointed Clinical Training Fellow (Walport Lecturer) at UCL{Source}.
She married the son of Prince Richard, The Duke of Gloucester and Birgitte, The Duchess of Gloucester, The Earl of Ulster on 22 June 2002 at the Queen's Chapel, St. James Palace {Source}. Upon her marriage, she gained the title The Countess of Ulster. Together, with the Earl of Ulster, she has two children{Source}:
