Royal Profile: Flora Ogilvy

Flora Alexandra Ogilvy was born 15 December 1994 as the first child of James Ogilvy and Julia Ogilvy{Source}. She has one brother{Source}:

She has been educated in England and Scotland. She was educated at Rugby School {Source}.Flora is a student at St. Andrews University, which was also attended by her parents and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. During her gap year in 2013, she appeared in an episode of Downton Abbey{Source}.


She has several "royal connections". She is the paternal granddaughter of Princess Alexandra of Kent, The Hon. Lady Ogilvy & Sir Angus James Robert Bruce Ogilvy {Source}.She is a great x4 granddaughter of Queen Victoria through Edward VIII and her grandmother. She is a 1st cousin 2x removed through George V to Queen Elizabeth II. She is also related to The Duke of Edinburgh through George I of Greece as 1st cousins 3x removed.

At her birth in 1994, she was 27th in line for the British throne.As of December 2019, she is 53rd in line for the British throne{Source}.

She has seldom made royal appearances throughout the years, such as appearing at the gala preview of Mary Poppins{Photos}, her grandfather's funeral {Photos} and the 2014 Christmas luncheon at Buckingham Palace {Photo}. On 11 June 2015, she took part in the British Summer Time 2015 cocktail at the British Embassy in Paris, France {Photos}. In September 2017, she attended the Designed At Talisma' designer exhibition during the London Design Festival 2017 {Photos}. In November 2017, she took part in the Dolce & Gabbana Italian Christmas catwalk show at Harrods {Photos}. In 2019, she attended her cousin Lady Gabriella's wedding.
