Royal Profile: The Infanta Sofia of Spain
The Infanta Sofía de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Ortiz of Spain was born 29 April 2007, the younger of the two daughters of the King and Queen of Spain, and the youngest grandchild of Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos {Source}.
She is second in line for the Spanish throne after her elder sister.
The Infanta was named after her paternal grandmother, Sofía of Greece and Denmark. Likewise, this grandmother, Queen Sofía of Spain, is named after her (Infanta Sofia's great-great grandmother)paternal grandmother, Sophie of Prussia.
She was baptized in July 2007 {Source}, with the following as her godparents:
She began her education among the children of the Royal Guards at the Palace of El Pardo, a zone in which is restricted by the royal guard in September 2009. In 2010, she joined her older sister at Santa Maria de los Rosales (a school previously attended by her father and aunts, and traditionally attended by the Spanish Royals) {Video}. Presently, the young Infanta is in her seventh year at the school.

As she is just a teenager, she does not participate in many official functions. However, she makes appearances at formal functions such as the traditional family Easter Mass in Palma de Mallorca {2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019}, meeting with Spain's national football team after their UEFA World Cup victory in 2012 {Photos}, among other events. In 2013, she was spotted with her family visiting her grandfather in the hospital on numerous occasions (March,September,November) and visiting the family's estate in Palma de Mallorca during August (2016 2016 part 2, 2019). She attended her parents coronation (and grandparents' abdication) events in June 2014. In October, she joined her parents and older sister for the Spanish National Day Celebrations {2014 , 2016, 2017, 2018}, and attended the family's annual holiday in Palma de Mallacora in August {2014, 2017}. In 2016, she attended, along side her father, the UEFA Champions League semi-final, second-leg football match between Real Madrid and Manchester City, visited the Matdero Cultural Center in Madrid with her father, she and her sister attended the opening ceremony of the 12th legislative session with their parents. In 2018, she joined her family for the 13th Centenary of The Reign of Asturias, the 40th anniversary celebrations of Spain's constitution, attended the ceremony where her big sister was awarded the Collar of The Distinguished Toison de Oro. In 2019, the young Infanta joined her family for the annual Princess of Austrias {part 2, part 3}, Girona. In 2020 so far, she attended the 14th Legislative Sessions Opening with her sister and parents,
new formal portraits of her and her family were released, and she and her sister took part in a reading of Don Quixote
