The Danish Crown Princely Family Goes Down Under-to Australia that is!

Crown Princess Mary, Crown Prince Fredrick, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent & Princess Josephine embarked on a trip to Australia on an Official Visit on Sunday, November 20th. The trip will last a week. During their visit, they visited Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne {Source}.

Day 1 (Nov 20)


-The Crown Princely couple visited the Sculpture by the Sea art exhibition in Bondi, Australia.
-They also attended the People’s Choice and Children’s Choice Awards ceremony where they presented the awards. {source}
-The Crown Princely couple gave an interview for the program Kronprinsparrets Priser 2011.
-The Crown Princely couple then went off to Sydney, Australia, where they went to the Customs House to attend the Curating Cities: Sydney-Copenhagen exhibition where they were greeted by hundreds of well-wishers.
-At the end of the day, the Crown Princely couple, along with their business delegates and four children,  attended a BBQ held at the Royal Australian Navy’s Garden Island base.
-After the BBQ, the Crown Princely couple met with the Australian Governor-General at Admiralty House

Day 2 (Nov 21)


-Crown Prince Fredrick & Crown Princess Mary attended the Danish Ambassadors dinner of which also included members of the Danish business delegation traveling with the crown princely couple, Australian business representatives, New South Wales Premier Barry O’Farrell and his wife Rosemary, and celebrity chef Matt Preston. Day 3 (Nov 22)


-Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary visited Canberra, Australia today.
-They met and had lunch with the Prime Minister, then met with the leader of the opposition in the Australian Parliament, Tony Abbott.
-Crown Prince Fredrick attended the opening of The Australian: Denmark Green Growth Forum Seminar, in Parliament, where Danish and Australian business leaders will discuss investment opportunities in renewable energy and new initiatives to reduce greenhouse gases.
- Later, he was re-joined by his wife where they visit the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia, the National Arboretum Canberra where the crown princely couple will plant a tree. 
 -Their final stop will be a visit to the Australian War Memorial where they will lay a wreath in honor of those who have and continue to serve in the Australian armed forces.

Day 4 (Nov 23)
-Arrival in Melborne
- Crown Prince attended the opening of the conference, State of Green: Join the Future. Think Denmark, held at the Hotel Sofitel in Melbourne where he gave a speech.
-Crown Princess Mary of Denmark participated in the Danish Agriculture and Food Council export promotion event on Wednesday (Video)
-The Crown Princely Couple attended the opening of the Corporate Cultures showroom where Danish design in furniture and lighting are on display and for sale for the Australian market. The day ended with the couple attending a lovely dinner with members of their business delegation as well as Australian business representatives at the Peninsula Docklands.

Day 5 (Nov 24)


-Crown Prince Fredrick visited George Weston Foods where he was given a tour of the facility and saw a presentation about the workings of the company.
-Crown Princess Mary will visit the Pakenham Springs Primary school, attend the SunSmart Summer 2011 forum held at Parliament House. Video/Photos
-In the afternoon, the royal couple attended numerous events inculding:
the opening of the LEO Pharma Pharmaceuticals, visit the Lego competition Build the Change, then name a tugboat in Melbourne Harbor, and finally attended yet another gala dinner at Danfoss with Danish and Australian business representatives.

Day 6 (Nov 26)


-The Royal pair began their day at a luncheon with Australian Business Leaders and the chairman of the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation.
-In the evening, they attended a charity event, Starry Starry Night, to raise money for the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation.

Day 7 (Nov 27)

-Crown Princess Mary (and likely the children too) will head to Mary's hometown of Hobart, Tasmania for a mini-vacation, and probably so her extended family can meet the adorable twins for the first time.
-Crown Prince Fredrick will say his goodbyes to his family and head to Vietnam to represent his parents at the celebration the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Vietnam.
