World Travelers: The Crown Princely Couple of Denmark visit to Brazil

Day 1, September 16


Crown Prince Frederik visited the Asger Jorn exhibition at Tomie Ohtake Institute, where he was  received by the Director Ricardo Ohtake and Museum Director Jacob Thage from Museum Jorn in Silkeborg, showcasing Asger Jorn exhibition.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited the Scandinavian Church in Sao Paulo,which was founded 20 years ago. They also attended a reception at a Danish colony in Brazil. 

Crown Prince Frederik will visit the Danish-owned store Scandinavia Designs. The visit is part ofthe VisitDenmark event “COOL Denmark”, which focuses on Danish lifestyle. For the event five different chefs from Denmark and Brazil will make dishes, combining the Danish and Braziliancuisine.

Day 2, September 17

They met with various Danish companies that are based in Brazil. Crown Prince Fredrick opened and inspected the exhibition "Family Ties: Ethnic Groups in Brazil" at MuBE (Mudeo Brasileiro da Escultura). After, the future King of Denmark met with CEO Gitte P. AaboLeo Pharma a donation to UNAPSO (the Brazilian Psoriasis Association) and ONCOGUIA (Actinic Keratosis). Afterward, the future participated in a seminar entitled "Advanced Biofuels & Novozymes Social Responsibility", where he gave a speech. After the seminar, the Crown Prince met with Brazil's Governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin. After a private meeting with Grealdo Alckmin, they proceeded to the opening of a water seminar where the six Danish company Grundfos, Danfoss, Siemens Turbomachinery Solutions, Haarslec Industries, MicroDrop and Liqtech International meet with decision makers from Sao Paulo State and water company SABESP.

Meanwhile, the future Queen of Denmark was visited with battered women at the Cidinha Kopcak, a support center for battered women {Photos}.

That evening the future Danish monarch and consort regrouped for a gala dinner for Danish and Brazilian Companies.

Day 3, September 18


In the morning, the Crown Princely Couple visited Albert Einstein Hospital’s cardiovascular unit.
After their hospital visit, the royal pair briefly separated. The Crown Prince attended the opening of the VisitDenmark event "COOL DENMARK", where Danish companies face Brazilian companies, and he attended a few workshops and mingled with guests. Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary visited the Blind Instute of Dorina Novill Foundation to attend training of visually impaired children.
In the afternoon, Crown Prince Fredrick and Crown Princess Mary participated in the opening of the Fritz Hansen chairs exhibition at MuBE (Mudeo Brasileiro da Escultura). Afterward, she will join the Crown Prince for the next leg of their Brazilian tour to Rio De Janerio.
Later in the afternoon, the Crown Princely couple were present at a reception for the Danish offshore industry  at the Rio Oil and Gas exhibition. 

Day 4, September 19


In the morning, Crown Prince Fredrick, in the company of several members of the Danish Business delegation, visited the Brazilian based oil company, Petrobras in Rio Oil & Gas Exhibition. In the afternoon, the future Danish king opened a water seminar, where six Danish companies meet with decision makers from the Rio de Janeiro state and discuss challenges and solutions for Rio de Janeiro's water supply. After that, he participated in a reception at the Brazilian-based Danish IT company, Danmagi and toured the facility. In the early evening, he visited the official Danish pavilion at the Rio Oil and Gas Exhibitation and inspected various Danish companies’ booths{Photos}.

Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary spent the morning visiting the Cidade de Deus, a youth center, where she toured the facility, viewing children’s activities {Source}. In the afternoon, the future Danish Queen consort visited Pontifical Catholic University where she participated in a seminar on the exchanges and cooperation between Danish and Brazilian universities. In the early evening, the Crown Princess opened the exhibition "A modern Royal Household" and visited the exhibition on the restoration and the decoration of Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg. 
In the evening, they rejoined one another for a reception at the Danish colony, where they met with the President of the Danish-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Knud Bach. Afterward, they attended a dinner with Danish and Brazilian companies.

Day 5, September 20

In the morning, Crown Prince Fredrick met with the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, and presented to the city's preparations for the Olympic Games in 2016. Afterward, he opened the VisitDenmarks event "COOL DENMARK" in Rio de Janeiro and makes a speech to the participants in the workshop.  
Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary visited Institutes Fernandes Figueira and toured the Human Milk Bank project {Photos}. 
For lunch, they regrouped for a meeting with the Brazilan Olympic Committee where discussions were primarily about Brazil’s preparations for the games in 2016{Photos}.
In the evening, they attened a dinner with Antonio Anastacia and Danish companies.  

Day 6, September 21

In the morning, the Crown Princess visited PUC University to open the PW Lund seminar. Afterward, the Crown Prince joined her to attended the opening of a water seminar where Danish companies had the opportunity to meet with decision makers from Minas Gerais 'state and discuss challenges and solutions to Minas Gerais' water supply. Afterward, they visited the PW Lund Memorial, where they met with Mayor Rogerio Avelar and the crown prince, along with several other dignitaries, made speeches during the opening.
