Royal Profile: James, Viscount Sevrn

James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor, Viscount Sevrn was born 17 December 2007 as the only son and youngest child of The Earl and Countess of Wessex {Source}. He has one older sister:

His godparents were{Source}:

  • Denise Poulton ( a friend of his parents)
  • Jeanye Irwin (a former American flatmate of his mother's)
  • Alastair Bruce (a Scots Guard Falklands veteran, who is a friend of his mother's)
  • Duncan Bullivant
  • Tom Hill

At only a few weeks old, he was admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital for what Buckingham Palace called a "minor allergic reaction".

It is believed that he attends St. George's School, Windsor Castle, like his elder sister, where he should be in his 3rd year at the school.

Because he is so young, and so far down in the line of succession, he rarely makes public appearances or performs public duties. In 2009, he attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show. In 2010, he attended the family's 10-day cruise to celebrate the 50th birthday of Prince Andrew and 60th birthday of Princess Anne. However, this summer he made several appearances, including attending the Thames River Pagent with his family in the honor of his grandmother and several London 2012 Olympic events including several Paralympic events. In 2013, he made his first balcony appearnce during the Trooping of Colour {Photos}, and attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show {Photos}. In 2014, he cheered on his big cousin, Zara at the Festival of British Eventing, joined several members of his family at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
